Technology projects

Technology projects are projects that we start and finance our selves; some of our resources are regularly spent on Technology projects. The goal is to explore new and particularly interesting technologies to gain experience and know-how that enable us to provide our clients with ground-breaking solutions.

During our work with these projects we sometimes make patentable inventions that have a promising commercial potential, discover new applications for existing technologies or uncover ideas that promise to deliver particularly exiting products. In a few of these cases we decide to extend our Technology projects and invest more in them to create a product or a technology application that can be licensed or sold. Light and device Control system

The system represents a novel open approach to light and device control in office and home applications. The system is scalable from single room to whole house applications, accessible from Internet and has IR and RF input and output capabilities. The open IR and RF input output capabilities makes it possible to gain control of the system with almost any existing standard remote control device and it enables the system to control not only lights but also the majority of remote controllable devices. It is extremely easy to install in existing installations, no extra wiring is required and no advanced programming is necessary to get it up and running. Setup is carried out via easy to understand WWW configuration pages. The devices in the system use RF communication for internal transmission of data in a proprietary wireless mesh configuration.

Environmental analysis system

The interest for our environment and especially the quality of water, both lake and tap water, is experiencing a dramatic increase and is becoming more important than ever with current pollution problems and potential terrorist threats. The Environmental analysis system is a modular monitoring system consisting of self powered measuring modules that can be placed on remote locations that continuously monitors the quality of water. The measuring modules can be set up to deliver measurement data on a continuous basis and/or to send alarms when a certain parameter exceeds a predetermined level. The information is directly accessible via Internet. Standard types of sensors for parameters such as Ph, Redox potential, conductivity, temperature etc are available as well as new novel sensors utilizing new sensor techniques to measure for example the concentration of bacteria in tap water.

Power regeneration devices

The Power regeneration devices utilize new technology making them small, light weight and inexpensive. In professional and home audio installations the quality of the mains supply voltage is of importance; if it is poor the obtainable sound quality suffers significantly. Existing high quality power regeneration devices are extremely heavy and very expensive. Some professional recording engineers have brought these devices with great struggle to recording venues, but most have found it impractical. The new technology Power regeneration devices opens up new markets, for example professional mobile recoding due to its light weight and mid to high end consumer audio installations due to its low cost.
